Welcome to the Newbury Operatic Society website.
We are an amateur musical theatre group, based in the Newbury, Berkshire area, performing musicals, operetta and concerts.
We are members of NODA, the National Operatic and Dramatic Association, and our main productions are staged at the Newbury Corn Exchange.
If you are interested in musical theatre, please free free to have a look around our site and get a feel for what we do. If you are interested in taking part, whether on-stage or backstage, we would love to hear from you.

Annual General Meeting 2009
This years AGM is being held on Tuesday June 16th at the Mencap Centre, Enborne Road, Newbury, beginning at 7.30pm. All members and vice presidents are invited to attend.
If you want a say in how the society is run, and to help choose the show we wil be performing in April 2011, then this is your chance!
The agenda for the meeting, and the minutes of last years AGM are available for download on the Members Page.
If you cannot see the Members Page, then simply use the Join NOS Members Website link below to ask to become a member of the website. The only information you will need to provide is your contact details and email address.

NEXT MEMBERS NIGHT - MAY 7th
Our first Members Nights have been a great success, it's good to see so many old and new members coming along to have a sing, a chat and a cup of coffee. Many thanks to Anne Bennett for organising them.
The collection of old NOS programmes was also a talking point, with some dating a far back as the 1960's. These are gradually being scanned in, and can be found on the About Us page, by clicking the link on each show. There are not many yet, but we'll keep adding more as we go along. As a sampler, you can see a (slightly) younger picture of Anne Bennett by clicking here.
The next Members Night is being held on Thursday May 7th, at the Baptist Church Hall, starting at 8pm.

Alternatively, why not pop in to one of our rehearsals or Members' Evenings? Members' Evening are the 1st Thursday of every month at Newbury Baptist Hall from 8pm. Come down for a coffee, chat and a bit of singing too. Otherwise rehearsals are at the Mencap Centre on Tues evenings, and Newbury Baptist Hall on Thurs evenings, both from 7.30 . Directions can be found on the "About Us" page, and there is usually a detailed rehearsal schedule on the "Current Production" page.
